Burnley to Host Huddersfield on Opening Night

The Championship fixtures for the 2022-23 season have been released, with newly relegated Burnley set to face Huddersfield Town on the opening night of the campaign.
The 2022-23 Championship season will kick off on Friday, July 29, with Burnley hosting Huddersfield at Turf Moor. Other notable fixtures on the opening weekend include Sheffield United vs. Millwall, Middlesbrough vs. Watford, and Blackpool vs. Reading.
Burnley will be looking to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking after being relegated last season. The Clarets will be joined in the Championship by Watford, Norwich City, and Sheffield United, who were all relegated from the Premier League last season.
Huddersfield Town will be looking to improve on their 18th-place finish in the Championship last season. The Terriers will be led by new manager Mark Fotheringham, who was appointed in May.
